Gel is a
one-part system consisting of a application of a thick viscosity gel acrylic. Gel is normally 'cured' under a UV light.  Do not confuse gel with traditional acrylic. Even though the two products are actually acrylic, they apply and wear differently.  Gel applied over acrylic to seal the surface does not make your nails "Gel Nails".  Gel nails are a form of acrylic but with different molecular structures, appearance, application procedures and different curing methods. There is not a Gel Powder or Crystal Gel system that is a "True" gel. Gel is Gel! It should come straight out of the jar and right onto the nails with out any mixing before its application! These are just a creative way to say Acrylic Nails with a Gel Sealer or Top Coat.  True Gel nails have little to No Oder and do not yellow or discolor with time.  The formulation of the gel products a that are used in The Lacquer Lounge are Carcinogenic Free and have the best durability and shine with out the hazards of other Nail Systems out there. Though it has been put out into the media that the UV light for curing the gel is harmful and "may" cause skin cancer, it has not been proven that it comes directly from getting UV gel enhancements.  The simple fact is, that most hands are exposed to UV rays in everyday life.  Driving your car, sitting outside, gardening, any outdoor activity exposes your hands to UV rays.  For clients who just uncomfortable with the use of the lamps, we have a SPF 30 sunblock that we will apply before the gel application!  Our main focus is you and your happiness!!!!!
